This website has been in need of a particular program for quite a while now, but quite simply, our community just cannot afford it. This week, a community member mentioned this dilemma to a co-worker, never dreaming that this co-worker held a master's degree and would offer to write a completely original program designed specifically for our website. This program will run directly from our website, does not have any of the limitations of similar services we have found, and will never cost us a single penny extra to use. It is unlikely you will ever notice the addition of the program to the website, because it is something that works "behind the scenes", but this is going to make a huge difference to anyone who takes care of the website. The co-worker has since enlisted the help of another programmer and together, the two of them are donating many man-hours worth a small fortune to the outside world and worth much more to us... all from a couple of guys who'd never heard of the Walk to Emmaus program! You gotta love the way He works!
Carol Marr, BG Emmaus Walk #68, received physical healing from a serious medical condition the day after her Emmaus Walk. Because she had completely lost an ear drum last year, she has had very little sense of balance and for months, has been unable to do simple things like walk down stairs unassisted, ride her motorcycle, etc. Now she is doing all those things and very little is slowing her down. She has not yet received her hearing in that ear, but the healing she has received has made her even more aware of His mighty power! Pray for Carol's continued healing. ~Update~ Carol has recently found a specialist in Nashville who says she is the perfect candidate for a device called a BAHA which has the potential to increase her hearing significantly. God is so good!~
Another Community member from BG Walk #68 has spent months dealing with incredible emotional stress at a job in which her supervisor verbally abused her and treated her unfairly. Since the Emmaus Walk, after much prayer concerning this issue, this person's supervisor has been transferred and she is now the one in charge!
There was a wonderful turnout for both the men's and women's Candlelight services and the closing ceremonies this last time. Please continue encouraging our community members to come to these events. We all remember what these times meant to us. Let's pass those feelings along.
